Prince Turns Out Topless on Holiday

Published on September 19th, 2012

News desks across the globe are battling with what’s left of their morals, wracked with doubts about publishing candidly taken photographs of the Duke of Cambridge on holiday recently.

In the photographs of a smiling Prince in the Solomon Islands, it is quite clear that he is not wearing a neck fastening of any sort. Neither is he wearing any cufflinks, and to cap it all, the top button of his shirt is undone. The Chap has made the brave decision to publish the photograph, in order to highlight the risks of travelling without proper staff to monitor one’s sartorial choices in tropical temperatures, perhaps a little giddy from too many coconut-flavoured cocktails.

This is what happens when members of the Royal Family travel to far-flung lands without a valet and are left to their own devices when choosing what to wear for a formal engagement. The Prince cannot even use the excuse of visiting a land of savages, for the Solomon Islands are in the British Commonwealth and their sovereign is Prince William’s own grandmother. While the Palace is concerned about photographs of the Duchess without the full complement of her bathing suit, her husband meanwhile is flagrantly committing far more serious sartorial anomalies.

Clearly we British Republicans are now furnished with the final proof that it is time for equality in our fair land, for when Adam delved and Eve span, who was then the gentleman?

  2. R Brown says:

“Shirt”? It looks more like a marquee!

  3. T Norton says:

And he clashes with the Duchess’s dress.

  4. Baroness T. says:

Do not forget a far more egregious crime in which Prince William’s great great uncle was caught on camera completely topless!
